Financial Institution Bank
1997 was a banner year for banking in Louisiana. It was the year Louisiana returned to its community banking roots with the opening of The Bank, in Jennings and Iowa, the first new bank chartered in the state in thirteen years. As it turns out, The Bank was on the leading edge of a growing trend toward community banks, which are noted for personal service and close relationships with customers. Many market analysts view this trend as a healthy antidote to the huge bank holding conglomerates which have swept the country over the past two decades. Jeff Boudreaux, CEO of The Bank, notes that the Board of Directors is completely local, including business and professional people from communities throughout Southwest Louisiana. It is managed and staffed by banking professionals with decades of experience and a deep knowledge and understanding of the people they serve.
